BUSY SPECIALTY CLINIC IN LAFAYETTE IN NEED OF A LICENSED PHLEBOTOMIST FOR FULL-TIME EMPLOYMENT (MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY) NO NIGHTS OR WEEKENDS

Requirements:

Certification and graduation from a certified phlebotomy or medical assistant program
2 years’ experience as a phlebotomist/medical assistant
Must demonstrate knowledge of and experience in phlebotomy and use of phlebotomy equipment

Duties:

Patient registration and basic information management in the lab computer system and practice EMR
Responsible for specimen collection (blood draw) and processing for transportation to the laboratory
Must be able to process or place specimens on laboratory instrumentation in accordance with established policy and procedures
Assist with inventory control including receiving, stocking, and record keeping
Perform special projects or other assignments given with expectations to be completed in a certain time period.

Must show ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and the public, demonstrating courtesy, professionalism, and good communication skills in a customer service environment. Sitting, standing, walking and light lifting is required for this position.
Must demonstrate ability to exercise initiative, problem solving, and decision-making.
